In their first home game since opening night, the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins treated their fans to the offensive showcase that was on display over the past two weeks away from Affinity Place.

The Bruins' added eight goals to their league-leading total en route to a dominating 8-1 victory over the Yorkton Terriers.

Jake Fletcher (2,3) opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the first period, which remained the score until the final four minutes of the second period. That's when Estevan exploded for three more goals from Zach Goberis (8, PP), Tanner McKechnie (2) and Kaelan Holt (2, PP) to jump out for a commanding 5-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Andrew Warhoftig (1) potted his first career SJHL goal early in the 3rd period, Michael McChesney (9) extended his goal-scoring streak to start the season and Nolan Feguson (1) added to the total in the final frame. Yorkton spoiled the shutout bid by rookie goaltender Matt Lukacs in the final five minutes to make the final 8-1.

"Coming into the game, one of our goals was to play from the defensive-zone first and build our offence from there," expressed Captain Jake Fletcher following the win. "I thought we did a great job of that tonight."

"It felt amazing to be back at home in front of our fans. Their support means so much to us, and we really feed off of it."

The two teams meet for the back half of the weekend home-and-home series on Saturday night in Yorkton. Catch the game on Rock106 beginning with the pregame show at 7:20.
