Four games in the Saskota Baseball League capped off another beautiful night for baseball on Thursday in the Southeast.

A few teams continue to lead the pack as the Cardinals, Tower Wolves, Threshers and Chiefs picked up key wins, with each game becoming more important as playoffs loom at the end of July.

Thursday, July 6th

Arcola Threshers (7-1) over Windthorst Pirates

Carlyle Cardinals (9-8) over Redvers A's

Oxbow Chiefs (19-8) over Carnduff Astros

Estevan Tower Wolves (11-2) over Southeast Fireballs

Arcola added another win to improve their record to 10-4, and the Pirates loss sinks them to 2-11-1. Redvers blew a late lead against Carlyle that drops the A's to 5-8-1, while the three time defending league champion Cardinals boost their standing to 10-2-2. Oxbow now sits at 8-4-3 with their win over Carnduff, while those same Astros fall to 7-6. The Estevan Tower are on a hot streak of their own going 8-0-1 in their last nine, for a record of 9-2-. The struggles continue for Southeast as the loss drops them to 0-11-1.

Sunday nights game is one to keep an eye on with both teams neck and neck in the standings. The Tower Wolves can solidify a nice lead on Arcola with the win, as they have two games in hand on the Threshers.
