Carlyle's Jason Mohr has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start at the Canadian Men's Mid-Amateur golf Championships, held this year in Victoria, BC.

After shooting an 85 on day one on Tuesday, he sits tied with Taylor Afseth of Saskatoon for 151st. Bogeys and double-bogeys plagued the southeast Saskatchewan golfer throughout the round, and he finished +15 over the par of 70. He tees off for round two Wednesday morning.

The champion of the Mid-Amateurs gets an exemption into the 2019 RBC Canadian Open.

Mohr comes off winning the provincial championship in his division in July.
