The regular season has come to a close for the Saskota Baseball League, and it wrapped up on Monday with a pair of high scoring affairs.

The league topping Oxbow Chiefs hosted the Kenosee Cubs, and promptly pounded them with a 28-10 final score. Meanwhile, the Carlyle Cardinals racked up runs of their own against Carnduff, 15 to 10 over the Astros.

The Chiefs have buttoned up the first place slot in the Saskota standings with 17 wins and 1 loss, while the Estevan Tap House Wolves are a close second at 15-2-1. The Carlyle Cardinals bring up third at 12-5-1.

As the countdown to provincials begins, teams will get a warm up this weekend, taking part in the Harbourne Memorial Tournament July 27-29.
