The Estevan Curling Club put out a strong presence at the City Wide Registration event held on September 6th, and it paid off.

"We had a really great turnout at City Wide, probably the strongest we've had in a couple years. We had a lot of people registering their youth, which was great, but we also had some people who were new to our community that came by and got some information about curling this winter, and we also had people coming by and getting information about the Canada Cup," shared Manager Pauline Ziehl-Grimsrude.

"We do have room in our Tuesday youth program, grade six to grade nine, but our Co-op kids curling on Sundays is almost full. We could take a couple more in each of the groups, the junior and senior, so we're still going to be taking people for that program for a little while."

The office at the curling rink opens on September 17th, and they will begin to prepare the ice, to be ready in October. Then the leagues, high school and kids curling will all commence.
