The Lampman Curling Club held its final event of the year with there Farmer and Friends Bonspiel over the weekend. Seventeen teams from the surrounding area descended on the Lampman curling rink to throw rocks and have a grand old time. I was able to talk with Calvin Christensen who is the president of the Lampman curling club and get his thoughts on the event.

"This is just our farmer and friends bonspiel, it's our last bonspiel of the year so we consider it our wrap up bonspiel. It's open, we got kids teams and older teams, i haven't sat down and actually figured it out yet but at some point, I'm going to figure out what the actual age difference is from our youngest curler to our oldest curler and going to be a big number."

They hold this bonspiel at the same time every year during the third weekend in March and according to Mr. Chistensen "you don't want to miss this one, its a great spiel." and while the fun for the year is over they would like nothing more than to see some new faces next year.

"I would like everyone to know about our little curling club out here in Lampman, we have had great comments on what kind of ice we can do, so just come out and try our ice, come out and socialize a bit and just come out and see us."
