Expect the 2018-19 season to be mix of rebuilding and honing for the ECS Elecs Junior Girls basketball team.

Being the age group that it is, there will no doubt always be the former present. However, Coach Kevin Kobitz says that they have a few veterans as well.

"We have five returning Grade 10's and seven Grade 9's. We're trying to get them meshed together. We definitely don't have height, so I'm trying to use different techniques as far as speed and endurance to out-win the other teams. But, we're at the beginning of the season, it's still too early say that we're at our peak level yet. The whole goal is to be at our peak come March."

While they aren't tall, Kobitz notes that they are accurate at the net.

"We have some pretty good shooters on our team, which we haven't had in the past years. That's our strong point. I think, for outside shooting, we have a pretty good group of girls that can do that."

He adds that the girls are an excited bunch as the season progresses.
