The ECS Elecs Senior Girls volleyball squad headed down the road to a tournament in Oxbow over the weekend.

They got off to a bit of a rough start on Friday, splitting sets against Kipling, Langenburg, and Kelvington. On Saturday they pulled together wins over Indian Head and Rose Valley to advance to playoffs, where they fell to Nipawin in two sets in the quarterfinals.

In the words of their Head Coach, Nicole Rogalski, they struggled with lack of communication and teamwork among all six players.

'"We had a little bit of a rough start. The girls seemed to really struggle with playing as six people on the court and not just one," she said, "We played a really good game against Nipawin. It was very close...but unfortunately we couldn't pull that one off. We started weak, but we ended off quite strong, which was nice to see."

The girls are back in action on Friday as they head to Langenburg for tournament action.
