Tatiana Dutka and Morgan Fichter represented the Estevan Comprehensive School at the Daytona Senior Classic in Saskatoon over the weekend.

The two senior members of the ECS Elecs girls basketball team were chosen to be a part of Team South, who in the end defeated Team North, 81-64.

In order to grab a spot in the classic, you must be nominated by your own coach and other coaches across the province who noticed players that made an outstanding contribution to their team. With only ten from the south being picked to play for the girls team, Dutka and Fichter definitely had stellar senior seasons.

"It was really exciting, you're playing with the best from Saskatchewan and against," Dutka said of the Daytona Senior Classic. "It was good seeing some old faces that you've seen around before from old teams or tryouts. I was just super honoured to be recognized by my coach and other coaches."

The Daytona Senior Classic was the final high school basketball game of their careers, but that's not the end of the line for Dutka, as she will be off to Medicine Hat College in the fall to suit up for the Rattlers female basketball team.

"As college gets closer and closer, I get more excited for it. I know that I have to keep training and practicing in order to stay in shape and keep my skill up for next year," she concluded.
