The ECS Elecs Football team will have a chance to pick up their first victory of the season in front of the home crowd on Tuesday afternoon at Woodlawn.

After falling 48-8 to the Vanier Vikings in their first game, the Elecs are looking forward to getting things underway on their home turf.

"It's exciting to get in front of our own fans," explained Elecs Head Coach Mark Schott. "There's a small group of fans and parents that travel to our away games, but the players definitely like to play in front of their friends and family at home. It will be exciting to get out their against a tough football team."

That football team is the Yorkton Raiders who were victorious over the Weyburn Eagles last Friday.

"Yorkton's a good team. They have given us a lot of trouble in the past. We're looking forward to getting out there and turning the tide in our favor and our guys are aware of what we're up against. We have watched film on Yorkton and we know they are a big physical football team that are well coached and execute really well. We're going to need to be ready."

Coach Schott also points to his teams bye week as a positive experience.

"We had a good week at practice. Our young team is still trying to adjust to our systems and high school football. There was a lot of breaking down our offence and defense to simplify things a bit. We had some really productive practices where players had a chance to ask for clarification during some white board sessions. I think that bye week of practice really helped."

Kick off between the Elecs and Raiders is set for 4:00 from Woodlawn Field in Estevan.
