Estevan Bantam A Bear Cats

The Bear Cats skated to a tie on Friday night in Regina against the Bisons.

Regina opened the scoring before Julie Fonstad found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1. Just 40 seconds later, Regina would add to their lead and head into the second period up 2-1.

Caydence Chapman tied the game at 2-2 for Estevan, scoring only 29 seconds into the period. Unable to hold the lead going into the third, the Bisons scored with 20 seconds left to take a 3-2 lead into the final frame.

Kamri Olfert would knot the game up at 3-3 with the only goal in the period as the two clubs ended the game in a tie.

On Saturday afternoon in Carlyle, the Bear Cats got off to a great start when Kassidy Johnson scored an unassisted power play marker to put the Bear Cats up 1-0. Moose Jaw would add one late in the first to tie the game at 1-1 before going on to score one in the second, and two in the third to take a 4-1 victory over the Bear Cats.

The Bear Cats wrapped up their weekend on Sunday with a shut out win over the Balcarres Barracudas.

Scoring a goal in each period, Kassidy Johnson, Kamri Olfert and Caydence Chapman gave the Bear Cats a 3-0 win to improve their record to 2-6-3. Estevan's Missy Biermann earned the shut out in net, stopping all 18 shots in the win.

The girls return to regular season play on Saturday, November 25th against Balcarres in Carlyle at 3:00 p.m.

Estevan Midget AA Bear Cats

The Parkland Lions jumped out to an early lead on Saturday, but it was the Bear Cats who would come out victorious in the end.

Down 1-0 just four minutes into the game, Marci Leblanc and Morgan Haygarth would respond for the Bear Cats to put the girls up 2-1 after the opening period.

Parkland would tie the game at 2-2 in the second, with the lone goal coming close to the end of the period.

Marci Leblanc would score to put the Bear Cats up 3-2, getting her second goal of the game to hold on and secure the win. Morgan Fayle stopped 14 of 16 shots in the Beat Cats win.

The girls return to home ice on Sunday, November 19th to host the Regina Ravens at 2:45 p.m. inside Affinity Place.

Estevan Pee Wee Bear Cats

Morgan Kjersem led the Bear Cats to a big win on Saturday afternoon over the Moose Jaw Mavericks.

The Bear Cats stormed out of the gate to a 3-0 lead with two goals from Kjersem and one from Lauren Hassler. Moose Jaw cut into Estevan's lead in the final two minutes to find themselves trailing 3-1 heading into the second.

Morgan Kjersem would get the hat-trick just ten minutes in the second and would add another just five minutes later to give Estevan a 5-1 lead going into the third.

Moose Jaw would cut into the lead scoring on the power play to make it 5-2 Bear Cats, but not before Jacey Farr responded to give Estevan a 6-2 lead. Moose Jaw woud add one more before Kjersem found the back of the net once more to give her five goals in the 7-3 win. Lauren Hassler assisted on all five goals while Emmey Rae got the win in net.

Sunday's game was postponed and will be rescheduled. The girls next regular season game will be played on Friday, November 4th in the Power Dodge Ice Centre at 7:30 p.m, against the Weyburn Gold Wings.
