Estevan Minor Football teams will be showing off a new look this coming season.

According to Minor Football's Vice President Kevin Mortenson, it was a few years in the making.

"Two years ago when Estevan Minor Football left the Regina league and went to the Moose Jaw league, our bantam team at the time had the same name as the team from Swift Current (Steelers) and we decided we should change the name to the Oilers since it has more to do with our community. So we had to change the jerseys."

"A lot of people weren't happy with the powder blue color of the pee wee Chargers and the Atom uniforms have been the same since 2008."

The changes made will now give Estevan Minor Football a consistent look that people will recognize when they see it. Mortenson said they wanted something original and something that stood out.

One more change should be noted for the atom age category as they will now be known as the Atom Power Dodge Cudas. They were previously the atom Minors.

"We're pretty excited to showcase them this fall," Mortenson added.
