The Estevan Taekwondo Club is looking to get this season off on the right foot at City Wide Registration this year.

"We run three separate classes," explained one of the instructors and black belt, Simone Saigeon. "We run a mins class which is ages 6-7 that runs Thursday nights for half an hour."

There is also a class for those ages 8-13 twice a week along with an adult class.

"We learn a lot more than just a martial art. We learn discipline, we learn self-control, self-respect. It helps build confidence. You meet a wide variety of people, you make that last a lifetime."

"Everyone is welcome to come and try it out. We take anyone from 6 years old all the way up. We've had adults start as beginners and have done very well with the program."

Saigeon added that they encourage parents to help out either with fundraisers, helping out at tournaments and testing days.

"We're always willing to have people come and de a part of our club whether they're actually physically training or if they're on the board helping out."

City Wide Registration starts on Thursday, September 6th at 5:30 pm.
