On Sunday night the Estevan Thunder found themselves in a hole. Down 4-1 to the Honeybadgers after the second period of the Queen City Minor Box Lacrosse League Bronze medal game, something clicked for the team at the beginning of the third period where they stormed out and took a 6-5 lead. The game was all but finished when their opponent scored with seven seconds remaining to tie the game at 6-6. That goal would force a 10 minute overtime where the Thunder came out on top 8-7 to win Bronze.

"We only had ten runners, and lost one during the game," explained Thunder Head Coach Jim Ludwig. "That's a ton of running for a bunch of kids with huge hearts. That was a big win for them."

"It was back and forth, the stands were full and they put it all out there," Ludwig concluded.
