Affinity Place will be at capacity when the puck drops on game three of the SJHL Canalta Cup Finals between the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins and Nipawin Hawks on Tuesday night.

Hockey fans in the Energy City have been salivating for a chance to see their hometown team in the SJHL championship series since their last appearance 19 years ago. After it was announced that there would be assigned seating with the expectation that both home games would sell out, those suspicions came true just a day later.

"Just before noon(Friday), I was down at the ticket office and all they had left were single tickets," said Bruins President, Cory Prokop. "That certainly surpasses my expectations, because I volunteered to help sell tickets all day (Saturday), all day Sunday and fully expected I'd have to do that."

Prokop certainly didn't have to wait long as hockey fans lined their way through the lobby inside Affinity Place, in hopes to get their hands on tickets for the much anticipated final series. Assigned seating tickets for both games three and four were snatched up it a heartbeat, and by Saturday afternoon, only a handful of standing room only tickets now remain for game four.

As many know, the Bruins will be honouring the Humboldt Broncos before game three, along with a few other tributes yet to be announced. The Bruins also announced a few of their plans during a press conference earlier in the week.

A sold out Affinity Place could be enough to push an already high powered team over the top, in what's expected to be the most electric atmosphere since Bruins fever swept the city in 1999.

"This will be the first time for everybody to see that facility full up to the rafters, you know along the rails is going to be two deep and it'll be exciting. It's an atmosphere we haven't seen and I'm looking forward to it," Prokop concluded.

Will Estevan be partying like it's 1999? Well, you're just going to have to wait and find out for yourself.
