Over 130 swimmers were in Estevan on Saturday to compete in the Southern Saskatchewan Speed Swimming Semifinals. With a spot in provincials on the line for next weekend, 40 out of 49 Eels qualified in the following events for provincials in Watrous, August 5-7th.

The Eels came away as the High Point Club winner with a total of 649 points and now have their focus shift to Provincials in Watrous starting on Saturday, August 5th. The Golden Eels have won the high point award and overall top club award the last three years in a row and will look to make it four this weekend.
