The 2018 SaskTel Tankard that was held in Estevan is being looked at by many in the curling world as a tremendous success.

Tankard Co-Chair, Helen Fornwald played an instrumental part in the outcome, and saw her hard work and dedication get noticed by CurlSask in the process. Recently, she was nominated and accepted into the Board of Directors at CurlSask. Moving forward, Fornwald with sit on both their strategic planning and governance committees.

"I had the Executive Director and a board member from CurlSask approach me about this and saw how good our host committee did with the Tankard," Fornwald shared. "Apparently we set a high bar in the province for hosting and so they wanted some assistance going forward on that."

Both Fornwald and fellow Tankard Committee Co-Chair, Leah Moriarty will also be involved in helping the next host community put together their version of the Tankard.

The two will also sit as Committee Host Vice-Chairs, for the 2018 Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling.

Curling Canada also announced details on when and where tickets will be available for December's Canada Cup of Curling.
