The Canadian Winter Games has been underway and Estevan's Hunter Chipley has stepped out to win a Gold medal for TeamSask in the Archery Recurve Individual Male Division.

Chipley defeated Aaron Cox from the Alberta team 6-4 Thursday in a tight showdown. Chipley was in second place going into the finals with a score of 573 in the first two rounds, giving him a total score of 1, 146 points which earned him a spot in the quarterfinals. He then went on to defeat New Brunswick and Ontario to finals against Cox. 

Chipley is still competing in the Recurved Mixed Event alongside Jay Gegner from Regina, they are currently sitting in third. With an elimination game today at 1 pm against Manitoba.
