It was a busy Sunday down at the Power Dodge Curling Center, as it hosted the Last Chance women's bonspiel, and a competition among kids to be involved in the 2018 SaskTel Tankard.

They wound up their grades K-5 curling program, which started in October, with those with the highest placings being chosen through CurlSask to play in Affinity Place.

"It's just a really great little competition, and I think CurlSask has done a great job bringing it out. It's another opportunity to get young people on the ice, it's fun to watch, and they had a lot of fun with it," said Pauline Ziehl-Grimsrud, adding that it is great to get the children to learn the sport early.

Three kids, one from each level, will represent the curling club at the Tankard. Sunday's winner, from ages 8-9, was Albina Monukalo. The other two representatives will be decided later in the week.
