Over the weekend the Lampman skating club held their We Love Sports Ice Show. they had a 50/50 draw and Kelsey Carson from the Estevan skate club attended as a guest skater. It was a great way to end the clubs skating year. We talked with the clubs president Holly Veroba to get a recap of the event.

"We run a learn to skate program here in Lampman, we had a total of 36 kids ages from 3-14, we end the season with an ice show and we run from November through March, 1 day a week and we have 5 levels of skills. We had our show finally on Sunday. We had 3 small groups 1 boy's group and 2 girl's group and then a beginners group and advanced and intermediate group along with a guest skater Kelly Carson from the Estevan skating club who came and did her short program for us and that was about it."

The skating program itself is not a can-skate but rather a learn to skate program and it's set up more for people who are looking to learn the fundamentals, the ice show at the end of the year is more of a platform to show off all the skills the kids have learned over the year. The Club also held a 50/50 raffle to help support operating costs, making a modest 210 dollars to help make sure the club can operate next year. According to Ms.Veroba, there were quite a few people in attendance.

"It was a good turn out, a really good turn out lots of the community came out we had grandparents, friends, family yeah it was packed yesterday, but yeah it was a really great turn out."

Veroba went on to mention that in the end, all she wants is the kids to come out and have some fun.
