The Peewee Estevan Bruins were nearly swept away by the Yorkton Terriers, but a last second goal proved to be their lifeline over the weekend.

Yorkton jumped out to a two goal lead in their first frame on Friday, and kept Estevan off the scoreboard for the first two periods, before Carter Onrait found the net unassisted 3 and a half minutes into the third. Mathias Fornwald followed suit a few minutes later. However, the Terriers put two more past Estevan netminder Ryder Davidson for a 4-2 win.

On Saturday, Yorkton again got the scoring started, less than five minutes into the first period. Ryker Mathison scored in the second frame, matched by the Terriers to be up 2-1 heading into the third. Jayden Kuchinka tied it up at 2 for Estevan, until Yorkton took a one goal lead once more. The game looked finished, but Turner Jacobson was undeterred. With four seconds left to play, he snuck the puck by the opposing goaltender, assisted by Ryker Mathison.

The TS&M Bantam Bruins came up with a sweeping road swing against two different opponents over the weekend.

They took on the Regina Monarchs on Saturday with Colby Cuddington opening the scoreboard. Regina scored in the second to tie it up, and then again to gain a goal's lead heading into the third frame. That's where Cuddington nabbed his second of the night and Mason Kukura added to it to make a 3-2 win with 24 seconds left to go.

The next day, Joshua Bittman stood tall for Estevan against the Melville Millionaires.

Cuddington continued to rack up a weekend of points with an assist to Kaden Chrest to open the scoring. Neither team found the back of the net in the second frame, and the momentum shifted to the Bruins in the third with goals by Blayze Siebert and Austin Davis for a 3-0 win.
