Local talent is taking another step towards the big leagues.

Troy Leptich played with the ECS Elecs high school football team as a left offensive line left and right tackle and defensive line nose guard, and now was recently signed to the Winnipeg Rifles in the Canadian Junior Football League.

Starting out at the bantam level, he worked his way through Estevan's available options before taking advantage of this major opportunity.

Leptich will now play tackle with the Manitoba team, however, he says his ambitions actually reach to the CFL, or even the NFL.

Discover Estevan took a time out with the young man to talk about his signing with the Rifles and his future goals.
