The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour's Estevan stop wrapped up on Sunday with several local names giving a strong performance on their home links at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.

Estevan's Jayden Dudas was the champ of the weekend, not only in the Juvenile division, but overall. He scored 76 on Saturday and 68 on Sunday for a total of 144.

"It feels good to play good at the start of the year to get things going. Feeling good for the end of the year, hopefully going to start playing pretty good by the middle of July," he said.

Although the wind picked up during the second day, Dudas added that it didn't seem to affect his performance much.

He'll get back on the tour when it heads to North Battlefords on June 16th and 17th.

Meanwhile, his other southeast Saskatchewan companions on the course also showed their skill. Bailey Farr finished 6th of the 15-18 Girls, Ryan Chernoff finished 13th in the Bantam Boys, and Chase Gedak and Jace Carlisle finished 7th and 8th respectively in the Juvenile Boys. Drew Fenwick finished 13th and Hudson Chernoff 17th in the same division, while Logan Chernoff finished the Junior Boys in 4th and Reegan Robinson in 8th.

The next stop in the Maple Leaf Tour is in Lloydminister, Sk.
