The transition of Affinity Place from a hockey surface to curling sheets is well underway as day three of the work continues.

"We just finished putting the logo kit in this morning, and our guys are out there putting the foams in to divide the sheets," shared Jason Braaten, one of the icemakers, "Basically, after that, we'll get some seals in and just keep going, one step at a time."

"We're not going to get it much prettier than this," he added, noting that the next major change visually will be the addition of the rugs. Most of the rest of the work will entail fine tuning the ice surface.

The work is expected to be complete by Monday night.

The logos are now in the ice for the Tankard in Affinity Place.
