Another Football Day in Estevan is in the books, despite a chilly, rainy Saturday at Woodlawn Field.

The ECS Elecs battled their way to a 57-28 loss against the Weyburn Eagles. Both sides exchanged points in the first half, but Weyburn pulled away as either team suffered injuries.

No points were achieved by the Peewee Chargers in their match against the Weyburn Eagles, either, losing 48-0. Meanwhile, the Bantam Oilers fell 38-0 to the Swift Current Steelers. Depth was a crippling factor as only 17 Estevan players were able to take the field against Swift's 38 kid roster.

For the Atom Cudas, the outing was a hard fought game of dropped passes and fumbles thanks to the rain and cold weather against the Weyburn Cardinals. A low scoring game, the Cudas were faced with a tough situation at the end of the game with a 12-12 tie and less than a minute to play.

"The big thing I thought of the whole day was holding Weyburn in the last minute of the game," says Atom Cudas Coach Kevin Mortenson. "We held them at the one yard line and ran them out of time, it was a good way to end the game against Weyburn."

The next action these teams will see is as follows:

Atom Cudas: Saturday Sept 29th against Moosomin 4:00pm

Peewee Chargers: Saturday Sept 29th against Moose Jaw 10:30am

Bantam Oilers: Friday Spet 28th @ Moose Jaw 7:30pm

ECS Elecs: Saturday Sept 29th against Swift Current 1:00pm
