September 30th will officially be "Football Day in Estevan", a day proclaimed by Mayor Roy Ludwig on Friday to help encourage participation and interest in the local aspect of the sport.

"I think this is a great opportunity in our city for our young people to get involved in football. I know that lately the program, with the different age groups, has been very successful and very popular. We look forward to that continuing in our community," said Ludwig.

He encouraged everyone to come out and enjoy the activities that will be held, along with action on the field from the Atom, PeeWee, Bantam and High School levels.
