The Midget AA Estevan Apex Bruins outscored their opponents 17-8 on the way to three straight wins during the weekend.

On Friday night in Regina against the Rangers, Josh Romanyk would open the scoring just ten seconds into the first period to give the Bruins the lead. Regina would answer back moments later, before league leading scorer Jaiden Gervais would give the Bruins a 2-1 lead heading into the intermission.

One goal in the second period would see Regina knot the game at 2-2.

Josh Romanyk would score on the powerplay for his second of the game, to break the tie and give the Bruins a 3-2 lead just 45 seconds into the final period. Dawson Schaff would double the Bruins lead and Regina would add one more, but that would be all as the Bruins would go on to an impressive 4-3 win and improve their record to 14-7-2.

The Midget AA Bruins would return home on Saturday and Sunday to host Prairie Storm Extreme Hockey. On Saturday, Prairie Storm would take an early lead, but it would be all Bruins after that as they went on to score seven straight including a second period hat trick from Dawson Schaff. Zach Ashworth would cap off scoring for the Bruins giving the black and gold an 8-2 win.

In the rematch on Sunday, the Bruins would storm out to a 5-0 lead with a pair of goals coming from both Cale Adams and Dalton Schrader. Prairie Storm would score twice in the final four minutes of the second, and add a single in the third to end the game in a 5-3 win for the Bruins.

Now 16-7-2, the Bruins currently sit in a second place tie with the Yorkton Kinsmen Terriers, two points behind the league leading Regina Rangers.

Jaiden Gervais continues to lead the league in scoring with 50 points in 25 games, which includes 18 goals and 32 assists.

The Midget AA Estevan Apex Bruins hit the road to Moose Jaw on the 13th and 14th, to play back to back games against the Warriors.
