In a move that seemed inevitable to some, the Montreal Canadiens have added a powerhouse southeast product to their list.

It was announced Thursday morning that the Habs signed Carlyle's Cale Fleury to a three year, entry level contract, and currently is assigned to affiliate Laval Rockets.

Fleury was selected third round, 87th overall in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Canadiens. The 19 year old, hard hitting defenceman with some deft hands spent the last several seasons in the WHL with the Kooteney Ice and Regina Pats, before taking part in Montreal's training camps.
