The roars of the engines and thunder were competing for the loudest at the Estevan Motor Speedway Monday night as the Dakota Classic Tour made its stop in Estevan, and while all heats in both the modified and stock car divisions had finished and the thirty cars were circling the track for the final two races of the evening, the skies would open up and end the night short.

Before the rain fell, two people from Estevan sat in the top two spots of the stock car division. Jeremy Swanson's #68 car was warming up behind the #17 car in pole position, Austin Daae. Also in the final feature from southeast were Midale's Devon Gonas, Estevan's Kody Schlopp, and while on his bi-week, Saskatchewan Roughrider Brendan Labatte.

As for the A Modifieds Feature Race, Les Mclenehan sat in third place as they set up for the final 30 lap race, Tyson Turnball, Ed Turnbull, Kody Schlopp, Aaron Turnbull, and Chris Hortness all from Estevan were sent home without hitting the track for the final time.

The tour now takes it's talents to Williston North Dakota tomorow night.

Weather permitting of course.
