The Oxbow Prairie Horizons Senior Girls Volleyball team will be a force to be reckoned with when next year rolls around.

This last season, the girls from Oxbow compiled a record of 59-8-1 on their way to the 4A Provincial Finals in Yorkton.

"We didn't lose a game at conferences in Moosomin and we went on to go undefeated at Regional's in Melville as well," explained Head Coach, Riley Singleton. "We didn't lose a set going into the final at provincials, we went 6-0. It was probably the best match of the year in the final with Caronport."

In their invitational tournaments this year, the girls picked up gold at their home tournament in Oxbow and at Lumsden's Invitational. They lost in the finals at the University of Regina, Moose Jaw Peacock and Langenburg tournaments and won bronze at the Luther tournament.

Next year, the team from Oxbow will be returning the majority of their team that was able to come within one win of the provincial title.

"We have nine players returning for next season, we're only losing our setter and two middles. We we're a young team and they expected to be in the provincial finals at the start of the season and they accomplished that goal. Definitely looking forward to a great run next year," Singleton concluded.
