It seems that the Calgary Flames' coaching staff have found something they really like in the aggressive, physical style of defenceman Brayden Pachal.

The team's main camp roster was released Thursday afternoon, and the southeast product's name was among those on the list. He'll be placed on Team Macoun for practices.

Pachal worked out for the Flames as an invitee to their development camp and rookie camp, a participated in the NHL Rookie Tournament where he recorded a couple of noteworthy hits against the Edmonton Oilers.

Calgary's main camp schedule begins Friday.
