The Peewee Estevan Bruins found money in the bank over the weekend, cashing in a pair of victories over the Melville Millionaires on home ice.

On Saturday, neither side could find the back of the net until the second frame, when Ryker Mathison opened the scoring followed by Mathias Fornwald for a 2-0 lead heading into intermission.

Melville began to close the gap partway through the third period, but Mathison restored the two goal lead on a power play while Turner Jacobson scored the empty netter with 13 seconds left to play to seal a 4-1 victory.

The Bruins received a scare on Sunday. Henry Sharp and Kaden Plaquin both found the net in the first period to give the Millionaires a 2-0 edge into the second frame, a lead they would extend by one more before the middle 20 minutes were up.

However, the tables turned in the third for Estevan. Chase Robertson, Carter Onrait, Turner Knockaert and Turner Jacobson mounted a four goal comeback to shock the Millionaires 4-3.
