The Estevan Peewee AA Bruins made the trek to Swift Current over the weekend and returned home with a win and a loss.

The Broncos jumped to an early lead on Saturday with two unanswered goals in the first period, and two more in the second before Ryker Mathison finally cracked the scoreboard on a power play for Estevan. Mason Barta added another in the third to bring the Bruins within one, before Swift closed the door with an insurance goal for a final score of 5-2.

The two teams faced off again the next day, but this time it was Estevan getting off to a solid start. Carter Onrait, Jayden Kuchinka and Turner Knockaert all scored before the Broncos found the net. Chase Robertson closed off the first frame with one more unassisted for the Bruins. Estevan and Swift Current exchanged a goal each in the second, with the Black and Gold's coming courtesy of Knockaert for his second of the game. Mathison also added another in the third, followed by Turner Jacobson to seal a win. The Broncos scored with just over a minute remaining to bring the final to 7-3.
