The Estevan Peewee Tornadoes spent their Saturday in Swift Current, battling the 57's in a doubleheader and coming out with a split.

The first game was a close won, as they fell 8-7 in the 7th inning, before storming back in game two to win 5-1.

"(I) give credit to our pitchers, they threw the ball really, really well this weekend. I felt that, in the first game, our pitchers maybe got squeezed on the strike zone a little bit, just from what we were seeing, but they battled through and still threw really well," stated Head Coach Ryan Siever, "Nathan Yunick started that game, and we finished with Justin Linthicum, and both those boys threw the ball well."

"Hitting wise, it took about one time through the order before the bats got going, then once they did we started putting up some runs again."

The Tornadoes return to the Diamond on Thursday when they take on the Weyburn Beavers.
