The Midget A Bruins bid for a provincial title was extinguished on Monday night in Estevan, after Prairie Storm shut out the Bruins.

After the Bruins were able to take down Indian Head in the opening round total points series 12-6, the team comprised of players from the Midget Estevan Bears and Wolves were unable to get past Prairie Storm.

In game one it was the Storm who would edge the Bruins in a close one, 4-3.

Monday night in Estevan set the stage for game two, which saw Prairie Storm skate to a 4-0 shut-out victory to win the total points series, 8-3.

Players from the Midget Bears get their Moose Mountain Hockey League playoffs underway on Thursday, March 1st, in Redvers.
