Female minor hockey begins in the southeast over the approaching weekend, with four main teams set to get their regular season started.

The Peewee Bearcats will look to improve upon a 10-9, third place finish last year. They take on the the Parkland Fire on Saturday with the puck drop set for 12:30 PM.

Meanwhile, coming off a 7-12, sixth place finish in the 2017-18 year, the Bantam Bearcats face the Regina Renegades at 4:00 PM on Saturday.

The Midgets and Peewees are back in action on Sunday as well, with the Goldwings playing the Broncos once again and the Bearcats visiting the Ochapowace Thunder.
