The Southeast Smash 14U boys team is a new team to Estevan and started and coached by Clinton Gibbons. The team travelled attended 3 tournaments in preparation for provincial play, but the consistent practices and focus on basic skill development has contributed most to the teams success. The group consisted of 9 players from Estevan and area and have been practicing twice a week since January. The club volleyball season builds skill and confidence to young players and sets them up for success in high school volleyball in the fall season. These boys, ranging in age from Grade 6-9 became very competitive and ended the season with an overall rank of 11 out of 20 teams in the province. They were placed in the tier 2 of the provincial championships and over the weekend, and after an impressive showing, placed a strong 3rd in Tier 2. They came home with bronze medal and enthusiasm for next season.

The Southeast Giants 16U team is coached by Nathan Johnson and Kevin Perkins, both teachers at ECS and coaches of the ECS boys volleyball program. This team consisted of players from Estevan, Alameda, Oxbow, Kipling, and Bienfait. This group has also been practicing since the new year and the team is a revitalization of the club volleyball program, that has taken a break for a few years in Estevan. One of the reasons that these coaches started up the club again was because of the talented players in grades 9 and 10 that will serve to build the high school and club programs. The Giants were very successful in their club season and went in to the provincial tournament ranked 5th in the province. They competed in the Tier 1 division and, even with the absence of two players, managed to place 4th overall in the provincial championships.
