The first half of the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games in North Battleford has come to an end.

Athletes competing in the second half arrived on Wednesday and will start competition on Thursday.

Male Curling

The boys played on Wednesday morning and won their final game to place 7th overall.

Weightlifting

Team South East finished with five medals in weightlifting which includes two gold, two silver and one bronze.

Target Shooting

Four medals were claimed by Team South East in Target Shooting.

Speed Skating

Although Team South East didn't take any medals in Speed Skating, the teams skaters had a great week of competition.

Gymnastics

Julie Rush made it in the Tumbling finals placing 8th overall.

Hockey

The boys played in the bronze medal game on Wednesday morning and lost to Team Lakeland 3-1. The team placed 4th overall in the Games.

Alpine Skiing

Mekel Frombach earned a bronze medal in Alpine Skiing Slalom U14 Female.

Sam Penkala won a bronze in Alpine Skiing Slalom U14 Male.

Judo

Joey Irwin – 40kg male individual - Bronze

Trysten Reder – 53kg female individual - Bronze

Ashton Debruyne – 55kg male individual – Bronze

Paige Irwin - 56 kg female individual - Gold

Female Team Competition (Paige Irwin, Trysten Reder and Christina Stringer) - Gold

Synchronized Swimming

Duets placed 4th overall in A Flight and 3rd in B Flight. The last day of Synchronized Swimming resulted in the girls clinching a bronze medal in team.
