After stumbling out of the gate to a pair of losses at the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier in Regina, Steve Laycock and Team Saskatchewan amped-up play and won their third game in a row on Tuesday morning.

Following their opening losses to Quebec and Manitoba, the boys in green put forward a convincing 9-4 win over New Brunswick for their first victory as home province hosts.

In their fourth game against Prince Edward Island it took extra ends, when Matt Dunstone made a takeout in the 11th end to score 1, and win the game 7-6.

Entering play on Tuesday morning at 2-2, Saskatchewan would get off to an outstanding start against one of the top teams in Brad Jacobs and Northern Ontario. Scoring 4 in the 2nd and 3 in the 5th, Saskatchewan sealed the deal in only 8 ends to beat Northern Ontario 8-4.

With a 3-2 record, Laycock will take on the 0-4 St. Louis rink from Nunavut on Tuesday night at 7:00. Saskatchewan will have another tough draw on Wednesday, when they take on Ontario at 2:00 p.m in their final game of play in Pool B.
