The South Corner Racing Circuit (SCRC) Motocross Tour is making its only stop for the season in Estevan this weekend.

The first races of the season were cut short in Carlyle last weekend because of rain.

Randy Franke, who's involved in organizing the races, said they get a nice variety of racers.

"We usually get a pretty good turnout. We usually probably get about 130 to 140 race entries at our races. They kind of range from kids five years old up to 60 years old."

There are a number of classes, including vet (for those 30 or older), and multiple kids and youth classes. There are also classes based on experience, broken down into A, B, and C.

Franke said it's a great place to watch some fast-paced action.

"We've got grand stands out there, and you can also park a lot of areas around the track. There's a fence around there. Unlike stock cars, you can get right next to the fence and you can see a lot of action 10 feet away from you."

The races run on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The track is located next to the Estevan Motor Speedway on the Shand Power Station Access Road.

"It sounds like it's going to be a nice weekend," Franke added. "We've been working lots on the track, putting lots of water down. And this is the only time this summer that the races are going to be in town, so hopefully we get a good turnout."
