The Southeast Midget Goldwings had revenge on their minds Tuesday evening when they went to Regina to play the Rebels.

Last time the two met, the Rebels caught the Goldwings on an off day and beat them 7-3. This time, however, the script was flipped in the rematch.

Jordan Meyers opened the scoring a little over three minutes in, followed by Kaycee Mullinger, Dalis Prawdzik, and Haley Labbie to take a 4-0 lead in the first frame. Khloe Bedore and Kiera Pittman picked up where their teammates left off in the second period before Regina solved Taryn McKinney. Mullinger then added her second of the night to seal a 7-1 victory for the Goldwings.

"I'm very pleased, it was a very nice Christmas present for their coach, I told the girls after the game," expressed Head Coach Al Ohrt, "We kind of went into the first game (against the Rebels, in November) thinking that we didn't really have to work all that hard. Last night...we outshot them 22-10 in the first period. We came out with a vengence, and it turned out really good. The girls all worked hard, and that's what matters."

"It wasn't just one line, it was all three lines that were contributing. It was awesome to see that everybody came to play. I think they all knew that they had a little redemption to do also."

The Goldwings are back in action on January 6th, taking on the Notre Dame Hounds.
