The Southeast Twins are coming off a week and change's break with one thing on their minds, and that's making it into the Midget AAA provincials.

Currently sitting second last in the standings with 8 wins and 19 losses, Head Coach Blaine Kovach noted that they're riding the line, and a side could be chosen Thursday night when they play the Regina Wolfpack, before heading into a doubleheader on Saturday.

"We need wins, that's pretty simple. You pick up at least one, two wins, you give yourself a chance to make it into AAA provincials," he said.

The Twins are practically neck and neck with the Saskatoon Giants, who sit just above them at 8 wins and 18 losses. If the Twins can improve past the Giants in the standings, they're in the provincial draw.

"They've been on a little bit of a losing skid, and I hate to say it, but I hope they continue their losing ways right now, and I hope we pick up at least one win out of these three last games. If we move up to AAA provincials, that'd be great."

That said, it'll be a tough battle with the Wolfpack, who sit at the top of the league with 21 victories under their belt, and only 6 losses. The game gets underway at 7:00 PM at Currie Field.
