Over one week ago, Weyburn's Shaun Fraser was voted in as President of Baseball Saskatchewan having served as Vice President for four years.

"I actually started out umpiring and then from there it grew, evolved, getting onto the executive and helping out in that way," explained Fraser.

Fraser started playing Baseball at the age of six and has been involved in Baseball for over 45 years. His new role includes managing players, officials and the finances of the organisation.

"What we're working on right now is the Challenger Baseball program. It's to ensure everybody with disabilities has access to baseball if they would like."

Saskatchewan Baseball meets twice a year, alternating between Saskatoon and Regina with conference calls going throughout the year. Currently, they are working on girls baseball.
