It was announced late last week that the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League would be teaming up with their neighbors to the east in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League to put on a joint showcase in January.

The top 60 Players aged 16-20 from each league will be selected by coaches of the respective leagues and then split into separate teams. Taking place on January 15th and 16th in Regina, the showcase will allow players to demonstrate their talents in front of scouts from the NHL, NCAA and CIS.

In a release from the SJHL, league president Bill Chow and MJHL commissioner Kim Davis shared their excitement for the partnership and the chance for scouts to watch their leagues talent.

The showcase will be held at the Co-operators Centre in Regina. The dates mean teams from the SJHL will not lose any players for regular season games, as there are no games scheduled for the week the showcase will be held.
