The Southeast A's have come to the end of their regular season, but it didn't exactly end on a high note like they hoped. A doubleheader against the Regina Pacers on Saturday saw them struggle to get a single runner on base, and they lost both matches, 10-0 and 5-0.

"We didn't hit the ball very well. We hit it a lot, but it was just little in-field hits, so we weren't being effective," said Head Coach Trent Dorrance.

However, they aren't fazed. Although it's a disappointing way to end a season, playoffs are this weekend with provincials just around the corner, and they need to stay focused in order to rebound.

"We stick to the game plan. We've been practicing fairly steady since then, a lot this week. We'll be working on the mind game more than anything, because the boys can physically do it, they just have to know they can do it and do it consistently."

Several other areas on defense, as well as batting, will be fine tuned and adjusted in advance of the league playoffs, which get started for the A's on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
