The Southeast A's went 1 and 3 over the long weekend with two doubleheaders.

They came out strong on Saturday with a 7-4 win over the White Butte Broncos, before dropping the second game 11-1. Back on the diamond on Monday, the lost 12-3 and 15-3 to the Regina Buffaloes.

"Overall, (it was) not bad. First game, pitching was well done, hitting was on point, just a few timely, mental errors here and there cost us a few runs which rolled into the second game and cost us. At this point in time in the year, we should be a little sharper than we are," stated Head Coach Trent Dorrance.

"We carried that bad energy from the second game against White Butte into Monday. (It was) the same thing, just a lot of mental errors. In the first game the pitching was well, we were up 2-1 till late in the game. Then, again, errors cost us."

He added that they'll be going over their plays and positions, and refocusing for their next game on Tuesday against the Weyburn Beavers.

"It's making sure everyone understands why they're playing for this team, and making sure that everyone is focused and ready to play when they're at the ball diamond. When the game's on, they're focused 100 percent on what they have to do whether it's up to bat or in the field. If you have a bad at-bat, don't take that energy onto the field with you, and vice versa."
