It was a bit of a rough weekend for the Southeast A's out of Alameda, a weekend to learn from and improve on for next time.

They hit the road to face the White Sox in Regina, but walked out carrying 7-6 and 5-3 losses back with them.

"They were both close games. Our pitchers did very well, the fielding was pretty good, but our bats went very silent," said Head Coach Trent Dorrance, "So that is something that we need to work on."

"Our starters did great job and our relief pitchers closed the door. I think we only gave up 6 hits in the two games. A few walks, and a couple little mind errors, cost us some runs and we didn't battle back on the bats. We just needed a couple more timely hits and we easily would've won those two games."

In that light, Dorrance will be putting the focus on hitting, a plan at the plate and the mental angles, as they head into a match with Weyburn on Wednesday.
