The U18 AAA Southeast Twins are playing baseball tonight as they head out to take on the Moose Jaw Canucks.

The Twins are coming off of a week break - though not intentionally, as a game that was scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to some of the bad weather from over the weekend.

After a frustrating loss of 16-1, the twins are looking for a game to turn their fortunes around.

Moose Jaw may be a tough match-up; they're an older team that looks to have a lot of skill.

Trent Dorrance, the head coach of the Twins, says they'll need to sharpen up some of their skills for tonight's game.

"Our pitchers need to really focus on throwing strikes. That's our Achilles heel right now and it's consistent for all of our pitchers," said Dorrance. "It's something that I'm not overly worried about because that's something that can get zoned in on, I know all of the pitchers well, once we got into the groove, we'll be fine."

"It's kind of our weak spot going into this game because you throw two or three walks in a row and a ball gets hit, to a guy, he's not as sharp as he would be if the game was going smoothly. All of a sudden, a bobbled ball or an error happens and runs start scoring. That's one key thing I've worked with the guys a lot these last few days."

Despite some of the challenges that the team is going through, Dorrance says they've got confidence - mainly due to the depth of talent that the team has.

"We've had some good pitching efforts from some secondary guys that we didn't really expect prior to the start of the year," said Dorrance. "We're getting some pretty solid play all throughout and I'm very confident who I throw in our lineup. Whether it's a doubleheader or a single game I can throw anybody anywhere in our lineup."

The Southeast Twins play tonight in Moose Jaw at 7, in Ross Wells Stadium.
