There were major implications following each game featured in Draw 7 of the 2018 SaskTel Tankard from Affinity Place in Estevan.

A-EVENT

COLTON FLASCH (Saskatoon Nutana) vs BRADY KENDEL (Saskatoon Sutherland)

4-3 Flasch - Colton Flasch is now the lone unbeaten rink at the Tankard. Flasch counted 1 in the 10th to edge out Brady Kendel in a great A-Event final. Flasch is now Qualifier #1 and has advanced to the playoff round beginning at 7pm on Saturday night. After suffering his first loss, Kendel will face the winner of Jason Jacobson and Brock Virtue at 8pm on Friday night.

B-EVENT

SCOTT BITZ (Saskatoon Sutherland) vs RYAN DEIS (Fox Valley)

7-6 Bitz - Scott Bitz executed a perfect raise-draw on his hammer-shot to count 1 and defeat Ryan Deis. Bitz will now face Steve Laycock at 8pm on Friday night while Deis drops to the C-Event and will face Daniel Selke in the next draw at 4pm.

ADAM CASEY (Regina Highland) vs STEVE LAYCOCK (Saskatoon Nutana)

8-2 Laycock (8 ends) - In a battle of the top two seeds coming into the Tankard, Steve Laycock went up 4-1 after the 4th and stole 2 more in the 6th to take a 6-1 lead and cruise to victory past Adam Casey. Laycock will play at 8pm on Friday night against Bitz/Deis. Casey drops to the C-Event and will face Jeff Hartung at 8pm on Friday night.

C-EVENT

BRENT GEDAK (Estevan Curling Club) vs RANDY BRYDEN (Regina Callie)

6-4 Gedak - The hometown rink lives to play another game with a well-played 6-4 victory over Randy Bryden, who is now eliminated from the Tankard. Gedak will play at 8pm on Friday night against the loser of Jason Jacobson and Brock Virtue.
