A great weekend of action took place at the Estevan Motor Speedway with both rounds of the Border City Dirt Wars.

The winners on Friday night included Riley Emmel in Modified, Chris Hortness in Stock Car and David Rieks in Hobby Stock.

On Saturday, winners included Travis Hagen in Modified, Austing Daae in Stock Car and David Rieks again in Hobby Stock.

"I'm ecstatic, this is my kind of track. I've been competing for about 10 years and this is my first time in Estevan. I have never been to Canada, we enjoyed the town and the people here are amazing. I'm thankful for my sister Katy and Tyson Turnbull for helping me get up here and taking care of me, I'm also thankful for all of my sponsors. Iowa is a long way to travel but with family here and stuff it was worth the trip, especially now. I couldn't be more happy. I hope to be here next year and maybe in between as well," explained David Rieks who is from Iowa and competed in the Hobby Stock Division.

The Estevan Motor Speedway also held a kids night on Saturday and had events such as bouncy castles and rock climbing.
